60 People Attend Commuter Bus Open Houses

Dozens of residents of the Rush Line Corridor attended a pair of open houses to hear details about a commuter bus study currently under way and to share their thoughts on transit needs between Hinckley and the Twin Cities. Led by Rush Line Corridor Task Force Chair Victoria Reinhardt, the listening sessions included a presentation by Rush Line project manager Alicia Vap and Frank Loetterle of SRF Consulting Group. Included in the presentation were four express commuter bus scenarios: Hinckley to St. Paul; Hinckley to Minneapolis; Forest Lake to St. Paul; and Forest Lake to Minneapolis. Staff is compiling questions asked at the two sessions and will post the answers on this site in the coming days.
